The Magnificent Severn Festival

Now in its second year the Magnificent Severn Festival celebration of the magical Severn bore including the myth, history and culture of the lower Severn, is an unmissable event.

I am eagerly looking forward to showing the film Longwave and telling some of the stories that I grew up with.
I also hope to talk about the Little Dean Roman Temple site, which I discovered at my home in 1982. Overlooking the dramatic Severn Horseshoe Bend this is believed to be the site of the cult shrine of Sabrina the goddess of the river.
