Cruiser and The Retro Carve

The time has come, the Paddle Round the Pier at Brighton starts setting up tomorrow and the main event is over the weekend. As with our other boards we will be taking Retro Carves and Cruisers.

The Cruiser is a great board which gives you most of the benefits for cross training that comes with the Landsurfer but with a little less board and a little more buzz! We're taking both Woody and Surf Stripe Cruisers with us to the paddle.

The Retro Carve is the shortest of our boards and came from the idea of being as close to the tarmac as you can get to try and emulate that surf feeling. We're currently doing a bit of R and D on the set up of this board, particularly with the wheels but for the Paddle we've got two set ups; the first with Tracker trucks, bone red bearings and Abec 11 Grippins which are great 70mm wheels and as they suggest give a really good grip and stability to the ride. The pictures below shows this set up with the Woody deck and then the Animal Fish deck

The other set up is with OJ Hot juice 60mm wheels. These give the same carvey ride but are a little more tweaky. Both boards retail at £135. The pictue below shows this set up with a special cloth deck.

Come and find Donny on stand 29 in the Paddle village and check out our boards in the flesh. If you find a board you like D's bound to do you a great deal!

You'll also find DVDs and beads on the stand. We're doing a limited number of special edition "A New Wave Rising" for the Paddle which includes The Still Stoked Story for the same price.
