After testing this board through from last summer to this spring, we brought out the "Retro Carve" as the latest model in our skateboard range of Still Stoked longboard skates.
Functionality and affordability are our bywords, so let me tell you a bit about this model. At 34" and flat deck, with no tail or nose overhang, this is neither a trick board or a longboard. As the name suggests the Retro Carve is all about that old style carvin expression akin to 'top to bottom' but all on tarmac. Without kick tails this board removes the pressure to do tricks (not to say you can't do a lot of stuff, with the raddest turns, switch stance, leg hangs etc), and guys an gals can really get into the carve, glide and body expression.
The action of the board, so close to the ground is really neat, it's just the greatest functional lightweight skateboard for surfers you can find.
Adding to the Retro Carve Woody and Animal Fish boards,The Hibiscus is our smoothest and coolest board yet.

We place huge judgement on what the kids want and like, and over this UK Spring holiday week we put that to the test with the artwork for the Hibiscus.

The Retro Carve deck is 'burnt etched' by Katie in the Islands flower style and deep lacquered by Donny. The whole process taking many hours spread over several days!

Everybody at the beach loved it; all ages and both guys and gals gave it the thumbs up. That is the sort of result that gives us that special stoke, which is at the heart of the Still Stoked ethic.
